Trisuli River is one of Nepal’s most popular rafting destinations. So if you love rafting, this river has to be on your list. Named after Lord Shiva’s trident (trishul), this river originates from the Gosaikunda Lake in the Langtang. What makes it truly special is its year-round accessibility and waters that attract thousands of visitors every year.
The river holds great cultural significance for locals who believe that drinking its water brings good fortune. During the 1950s, it served as a vital trade route between Nepal and Tibet. Today, it’s a key highlight in many Nepal Tour Packages, attracting both beginners and experienced rafters. The riverside beaches, where travelers often camp under starlit skies just add another layer of beauty. Local fishermen still use traditional fishing methods here so the place is also a cultural experience.
Most rafting trips start early morning around 9 AM.
