Thirumalai Nayak Palace, located in the heart of Madurai, is a splendid example of Indo-Saracenic architecture built in the 17th century by King Thirumalai Nayak. Once four times larger than its current size, the palace was originally designed as a grand residence for the Nayak rulers. The surviving structure showcases stunning features like massive pillars, majestic arches, and an intricately decorated central courtyard.
