About Tal Barahi Temple

Tal Barahi Temple is a revered Hindu shrine located on a small island in Phewa Lake, Pokhara, Nepal. Dedicated to the goddess Barahi, an incarnation of Durga, the temple is a two-story pagoda-style structure that draws both devotees and tourists. Accessible only by boat, it offers a serene setting surrounded by water and views of the Annapurna range. The temple plays a central role during major festivals like Dashain, when worshippers visit in large numbers. Blending spiritual significance with natural beauty, Tal Barahi Temple is a prominent cultural and religious landmark in Pokhara.
