About Ravana waterfall

Ravana Falls, located just outside Ella, is one of Sri Lanka’s most enchanting natural attractions. Plunging from a height of 25 meters, the waterfall tumbles over a series of rocky ledges, creating a stunning cascade especially powerful during the monsoon season. Surrounded by lush greenery, the site is easily accessible and popular for its scenic beauty and cool natural pool at the base. Named after the legendary King Ravana from the Ramayana epic, the falls are steeped in myth and local folklore. Ravana Falls offers a perfect blend of natural wonder and cultural intrigue in Sri Lanka’s highland landscape.
